Rocket Boys starring Jim Sarbh and Ishwak Singh is the latest offering of SonyLIV and here is how the Janta is reacting to it!
Other than pressing on the medical industry, Indian nuclear science has a vast and great history presiding as well. And it was high time that the entertainment sector brought its focus towards it. So, directed by Abhay Pannu, Rocket Boys, starring Ishwak Singh and Jim Sarbh as ace nuclear physicists Dr. Vikram Sarabhai and Dr. Homi J. Bhabha, is an attempt to tell a chapter from the history of Indian science. The series is a tribute to the legends and digs deeper into the lives of India’s greatest scientific minds as they charge through the creation of the Indian Space Program.
Created by Nikkhil Advani, Roy Kapur Films, and Emmay Entertainment, the 8-episode series other than Jim and Ishwak also stars Regina Cassandra, Rajat Kapur, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Saba Azad, and Arjun Radhakrishnan in pivotal roles. People have been eagerly waiting for the series to come out soon almost since the time it has been probably announced. And now that it has finally been released on Feb 4th, on SonyLIV, giving people ample time of the weekend to watch. Here is how the Janta is reacting to the Jim-Ishwak starrer!
Let's dive into whether the rocket of these Rocket Boys took off successfully or not!

There are so many stories like these that happened in India. I hope we get to see more shows and movies about scientists as much as cricketers/celebs
SonyLIV has made a decent start into the OTT space, last year with Scam 1992 and this year with Rocket boys.

At a time when OTT is almost getting saturated with the same crime drama genre, SonyLIV seems to be pushing for something ingenious at least. https://t.co/yEDuutE8T0
No doubt Tobey represented Vikram Sarabhai really well in Rocket Boys pic.twitter.com/U3fMxS4IZq

I just wrapped up watching Rocket Boys and it is very nicely done. For me the show was a tad personal cos my aaba worked at the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre as a scientist for the better part of 3 decades before he retired and I spent the better part of my 1st 5 years there/

TIL - CV Raman, Homi Bhabha and Vikram Sarabhai were doing research in IISc Bangalore at the same time in 1940.

What a @peakbengaluru moment.
PS - Rocket boys looks promising.
Rocket Boys is the greatest piece of Indian television I've ever seen and it's only been 17 minutes.

Today times of india has reprinted the November 22 1963 paper when India launched its first rocket in space for the promotion of the series on Sony LIV Rocket Boys based on the story of our first rocket launch I think it's a must watch pic.twitter.com/qc0yEiafSG

At times when @NetflixIndia is struggling at Indian content you are cracking it perfectly.
Scam 1992 & now rocket boys 🚀 #RocketBoys pic.twitter.com/8L9oBwxTK1
Rocket Boys is set in 1940s-1960s but the dialogues are set in 2022. Such a disconnect. pic.twitter.com/V1f5Js0kgF

‘Rocket Boys’ is about many spectacular firsts. India’s tryst with destiny, and freedom. India’s first space programme. India’s first nuclear weapon. India’s first clutch of brilliant scientists who helped set the country on the path of ‘atmanirbharta’: yes, that word, pic.twitter.com/rNMqORJTeG

So I finally finished Rocket Boys and was pleasantly surprised by how the last 4 episodes turned out to be. A well-performed epic that frequently soars! Jim Sarbh and Ishwak Singh are absolutely terrific. And oh, a background score for the ages! More on it later. pic.twitter.com/jwDUKXorCK

Rocket Boys is another excellent series from @SonyLIV after Scam1992 👌🏽 Perfect blend of fact and fiction to demonstrate the legacy of Dr. Homi Bhabha, Vikram Sarabhai, APJ Abdul Kalam 🙌🏼 The female characters (Mrinalini, Pipsy) in their life are also written very well 👍🏼 pic.twitter.com/VPeUC77U4A
