The trailer seems to jump back and forth to unravel the mystery of how a plane with hundreds of passengers finds itself in a life-threatening situation in mid-air. And now it's all in the hands of pilot Captain Vikrant Khanna (Ajay Devgn) and newly joined co-pilot Rakul Preet Singh. With Amitabh Bachchan as the person who deep dives into the casualties, Vikrant’s apparent faulty decision-making and what exactly happened before and during the mysterious and unclear circumstances of the flight.
According to the trailer, it looks like Ajay Devgn and Amitabh Bachchan are going to be face to face with each other in a battle of words. The film is said to be based on a real-life incident that took place in 2015 on a Jet Airways flight from Doha to Kochi. It came out that the plane had a narrow escape after facing several difficulties en route. From unclear visibility due to bad weather conditions and a severe lack of fuel making it difficult for the pilots on-board, this episode raised many eyebrows towards airlines and their safety protocols and it seems like the film with hits mysterious take will talk about that too.
A lot can happen when you're on a flight and what do pilots go through to make everyone reach safely, that's what Runway 34 will unravel on April 29 in theatres. This will mark Ajay Devgn's third directorial venture after U Me Aur Hum (2008) and Shivaay (2016). It's also being co-produced under his banner Ajay Devgn Films and also stars Boman Irani, Angira Dhar, and Aakanksha Singh.
