Dunki starring Shahrukh Khan and Tapasee Pannu will be Shahrukh's first collaboration with Rajkumar Hirani!
On April 19, Shahrukh Khan took to his Instagram to post a quirky announcement of his upcoming film, 'Dunki' which will be directed by none other than Rajkumar Hirani. Marking this as their first collaboration, the film will be produced under Shahrukh and Gauri Khan's banner Red Chillies Entertainment in association with Rajkumar Hirani Films. 2023 will be a treat for Shahrukh fans as he will be seen on the big screen twice next year. He will hit the big screens with 'Pathan' in January 2023 alongside Deepika Padukone and Dunki is set to release by the end of the year, on December 22, 2023. It seems like after his long hiatus, he's ready to bring his audience some refreshing and exciting content.
The video announcement shows Shahrukh Khan at Rajkumar Hirani's office checking out all his iconic film's posters such as PK, Sanju, and Munnabhai MBBS. SRK then wonders if Rajkumar Hirani has any script for him to which the filmmaker tells him that he will work with SRK on a film called Dunki. They two further discuss how the film will be a combination of comedy, emotions, and of course Shahrukh's favorite genre...romance! Rajkumar Hirani's films are always known to evoke emotions of all kinds in movie buffs and Dunki brings the same enthusiasm to the table.
While sharing the post, Shahrukh captioned it as "Dear Rajkumar Hirani Sir, Aap toh Mere Santa Claus nikle. Aap shuru karo main time pe pahunch jaunga. Actually main toh set par hi rehne lagunga. Feeling humbled and excited to finally work with you. Bringing to you all Dunki in cinemas on 22nd December 2023."
