US gymnast Simone Biles decided to withdraw from the second finale in Tokyo Olympics to take care of her mental health.
Mental health that was once considered taboo and never spoken about publicly is now becoming a part of an essential point of debate. Today, people are realizing the importance of spreading awareness about the same. Celebrities and personalities have played a major role in breaking the myth around mental health. Recently 24-year-old US gymnastics star, Simone Biles decided to put her mental health first and withdrew from the second finale of the ongoing Tokyo Olympics.
After exiting the finals she said, "I have to do what's right for me and focus on my mental health and not jeopardize my health and my wellbeing."

The USA Gymnastics released a statement supporting the champion before the individual finale. They stated that Simone was withdrawing from the games for further medical evaluation. The statement concluded with, “We wholeheartedly support Simone’s decision and applaud her bravery in prioritizing her well-being. Her courage shows, yet again, why she is a role model for so many.”
Many wrote in support of the gymnast for choosing her mind over the medal and not going through with the routine for the sake of it. While her participation in the rest of the game is uncertain, people from around the world were proud of her heroic move.
