Stone pelting in Bhima Koregaon, #ShameOnCM trends on Twitter

Not much has changed in 2018, as our country still appears to be doomed with another freshly unfortunate story breaking in. Violent clashes near Pune in Bhima Koregaon as stone pelting has already taken one life.

Bhima Koregaon is a place of historic importance for the Dalit community as they gather to commemorate the victory of Mahar soldiers, who fought for the British and won against the Brahmin Peshwas of the Maratha empire in the year 1818. Miscreants with saffron flags were reported to be pelting stones on cars moving towards Bhima Koregaon on Monday as the people who had gathered to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the battle.

Twitter has been taken by storm with reactions expressing disbelief and sorrow at the unfortunate incident in Bhima Koregaon, with many calling out Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis with the hashtag #ShameOnCM gaining momentum.
