K3G

K3G has been an iconic movie in our country for decades and this collision of Bollywood royalty with British royalty has made everyone scream with joy! K3G cover in Bridgerton Season 2 is pure bliss!

All of us have watched Karan Johar's classic and quintessential Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham at least once in our lives. We've specifically grown up listening to its songs at parties, weddings, and family get-togethers. From practicing hook steps to recreating all the famous scenes in the movie, it brings out the most dramatic side of us! K3G is known for teaching us the importance of family but also for following your heart's desire. And another piece of content that binds us to family values and love is Bridgerton. How we wish the Raichands could meet the Bridgertons and make it one big royal affair of grand colorful sets, pretty costumes, exceptional dance sequences, and heart-fluttering romance! The similarities between the two are endless, right? So the show's creator Chris Van Dusen found a rather nostalgic way of binding the two sensational pieces together.

As you might know, Bridgerton is set in the early 1800s but is known for cleverly placing violin covers of famous pop songs from the present time. In the first season, we saw some remarkable covers such as 'Thank you, next' by Ariana Grande, 'Wildest dreams' by Taylor Swift, and 'Girls like you' by Maroon 5. But the second season had one song in particular that made the Indian audience ridiculously happy. It was the title track of Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham and the reason being the Indian representation highlighted this season aka Kate and Edwina Sharma, the two new characters introduced in the show. There is a haldi ceremony, the night before Edwina Sharma (Charithra Chandran) is ready to marry Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey). The mother and her two daughters are seen turning to their Indian roots before the happiest day in their lives while Anthony is seen discussing the burden of his family duties to his brothers. Amid these parallels, the K3G cover proves to be the perfect background music for the scene making it look intense and like a Bollywood fairytale at the same time.

So it goes without saying that everyone was totally freaking out about this never seen before the iconic collaboration.

Let's see what the Twitteratis have to say about the K3G cover!
