Starring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama and Yash as Ravana, the Ramayana teaser has us all anticipating the film just with a short glimpse of the story!
A short teaser for Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and KGF fame Yash as Ram, Sita and Ravana respectively dropped today creating hype amongst fans. The teaser does not give any real glimpse of the film except for Ranbir Kapoor’s two second appearance as Lord Ram fighting Yash as Ravana. Apart from that, the rest of the teaser is mainly VFX and animation announcing the cast and crew. That, in itself, gives you goosebumps. The teaser starts with an introduction of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva - the divine forces that keep the balance in the universe. It then takes you to Lord Rama, whose battle with Ravana is the ultimate battle between good and evil. The teaser calls it ‘a war to end all wars’.
It then swiftly moves on to announcing the cast and crew of the film in a credit scene whose visuals remind you so much of Game of Thrones. The three minute teaser has a background score by none other than Hans Zimmer who is known for his score for films like Interstellar, Lion King, Inception and The Dark Knight Trilogy. A.R. Rahman and Zimmer, two legends of the music industry, join hands for this epic saga. The VFX of the film is done by eight time Academy Award winning VFX Studio DNEG.
The rest of the cast includes Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman. Produced by Prime Focus Studios and Yash’s Mind Creations, the film will be released in two parts, Diwali 2026 and Diwali 2027 respectively and is shot to be watched in IMAX. A magnum opus made by the best of the best in the industry, this one was bound to create excitement amongst fans to see what the film has in store for us next year!
