The Ba***ds of Bollywood preview: Aryan Khan’s directorial debut gives us front row seats to the good, bad and ugly of Bollywood!

Starring Lakshya as the protagonist, The Ba***ds of Bollywood is set to premiere on Netflix this September!

The Ba***ds of Bollywood preview: Netflix, Shah Rukh Khan and the cast and crew of The Ba***ds of Bollywood finally unveiled the highly anticipated preview of the show and it’s safe to say that it looks like Bollywood’s next magnum opus is here! The preview is voiced by none other than Shah Rukh Khan himself. It starts on a powerful note with him saying “Iss sheher mein kuch log hero ke ghar paida hote hain, aur kuch hero paida hote hain” and there we see our protagonist Aasmaan aka Lakshya, entering in slow motion as an action hero! Aasmaan, an outsider, is seen to be making his way into Bollywood and gets the ultimate Bollywood experience along the way. Dating a star kid, clashing with another superstar, winning awards, producer’s tantrums, Bollywood parties, finding a manager who believes in him and even jail time, he goes through it all!

The preview also showed us cameos from some of the most iconic figures in Bollywood. Salman Khan, Karan Johar, Ranveer Singh, make special appearances in Aryan Khan’s first venture and the excitement has peaked to see what their arcs are like on the show! Bobby Deol will be seen as Ajay Talvar, a Bollywood superstar who will clash against Aasmaan. Raghav Juyal plays Aasmaan’s best friend, Anya Singh will be seen as his manager, Mona Singh and Vijayant Kohli play his parents, Manoj Pahwa as his uncle and Gautami Kapoor as Ajay Talvar’s wife. The cast is not only studded with popular names but each character looks intriguing enough to elevate the story even further!

At the preview launch by Netflix Shah Rukh Khan and Aryan Khan took the stage to introduce the world of The Ba***ds of Bollywood. Aryan Khan spoke about creating a story inspired by real emotions and human ambition, saying, “With The Ba***ds of Bollywood,  I wanted to build a world that feels alive, a mix of glitz and grit, where ambition shines, egos clash, and nothing is ever as it seems. In Netflix, we found a partner who shared our creative vision, helping us tell the story exactly how it needed to be told, raw, stylised, and something the world has never experienced before.”

Shah Rukh Khanreflected on the pride of watching a new voice emerge,“It’s a proud moment to see Aryan carve out his vision with such clarity and edge. This is storytelling that’s sharp, self-aware, and unapologetically bold, and I think audiences on Netflix will connect to the heart of it as much as its style.”

Written and Directed by Aryan Khan and Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Netflix, The Ba***ds of Bollywood is set to stream September 18 onwards!
