Allahabad High Court stayed the arrest of journalist and TV reporter Deepak Chaurasia in the Asaram case on November 15th. People on Twitter shared their reaction on the news.

An FIR was filed against the TV journalist and anchor Deepak Chaurasia following a show on his channel regarding Asaram. The anchor then filed a petition at the Allahbad court challenging the FIR by Sanjay Patil who is a follower of self-styled godman Asaram who is accused of rape. The FIR was lodged under various sections of IPC, the IT Act and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act at Palam Vihar police station of Gurgaon (Haryana) on December 15, 2013.

The complaint has lodged the FIR aiming at a particular episode. The complaint was regarding a special programme made in the light of the controversy around Asaram stating that the anchor allegedly tampered with an evidence video. The petition read that the programme was broadcast "bona fide" and that it was based on the contents of a CD submitted by the prosecution in a Jodhpur court where the trial against Asaram was underway.
