6 things to expect in 2025 as a BTS fan!

2025 is THE year for Armys to reunite with their seven best friends! Here’s everything you can look forward to as a part of the purple army.

If you’re a BTS Army reading this, I bet at midnight on New Year’s Eve the first thing you thought was ‘I am finally in the year where BTS comes back’. At first I thought it was just me but a doom scroll on Twitter on January 1 left me feeling so validated. People from around the world were happy to celebrate the fact that we’ve finally survived the test of time. It felt like it was just yesterday when I was heartbroken over the military service notification on Weverse. It was 2022 and I wondered what my life would look like three years from then. But here I am, in all my glory, still in love with BTS if not more, and I am so excited for what the second half of this year is going to look like!

Based on BTS’ discussions in the past and Hybe’s new plan, here’s what we can expect!

A new group album in the second half of the year

While BTS has been busy in the military since the past three years, their back to back solo projects have kept us well fed. Their absence sometimes felt minute because of how well their solo songs were spread out. We’ve had new music to listen to every second month. But now it's time to see them all together! All seven of them bringing their A game to one album. More fun choreographies that we all go crazy over, more meaningful lyrics to decode. I want it all and I can't wait any longer!

A new season of BTS in the Soop or Bon Voyage

Remember that episode of Suchwita with Jungkook where the both of them discussed going on a trip to see the northern lights as soon as they’re back? Knowing how BTS always keeps their word, it is highly possible that they actually might embark on a journey together abroad. Also, after staying away from each other for so long, a group trip or staycation in the ‘soop’ is much needed! 

More Weverse lives as a group

Jungkook is the flag bearer of turning on random Weverse lives and I love him for that. But I might just cry the first time I get a ‘BTS is live’ notification this year! I cannot wait for them to laugh together, to stop each other from saying something that’ll get them into trouble and pretend to be frozen at the start of the live. It truly feels like finding solace on days I feel my lowest and I can’t wait for that to be back in my life.

Fun interviews that help us get to know them better

One of my favorite things to do as a BTS fan is to re-visit their old interviews where they’ve just let loose and had fun. Be it the Carpool Karaoke with James Corden or the hilarious conversations they had on You Quiz. Hopefully this year too we get to see them opening up a bit more about their lives and create more pop culture moments that’ll stick with us forever!

Run BTS Tuesdays are so back!

Run BTS’ legacy is currently being carried by Run Seok-Jin. But soon enough, his six brothers will join him in playing games and betray each other over a gift voucher. Run BTS is something that I watch while I am eating, and often I don’t even realise when I have a huge smile on my face just seeing them goof around, so the seven of them resuming this show is inevitable or rather important for the world to start healing a bit!

Lastly, a potential world tour! 

Just like me, a majority of people became BTS fans during the lockdown, which means many of us have never had the opportunity to experience the magic of a BTS concert. So many of us haven’t seen them in real life and I think that’s just tragic. It is every BTS army’s dream to attend the concert someday with an Army bomb in their hand so a world tour, where they actually visit countries they have never been to before, should be the first thing in order!
