With 2026 shaping up to be one of the most ambitious years for Korean dramas yet, the upcoming slate promises a thrilling mix of star-studded casting, good storytelling, and big-platform originals across Netflix, Prime Video, and JioHotstar.

Can This Love Be Translated - Netflix

After giving us a short glimpse of his lover boy personality in When Life Gives You Tangerines, Kim Seon-Ho is set to make a comeback as a rom-com lead in Can This Love Be Translated. Alongside Go Youn-Jung, who plays a popular actress, Kim Seon-Ho travels around the world with her as a translator and their relationship develops into something more!

Spring Fever - Prime Video

To begin with Ahn Bo-Hyun looks absolutely hot in this K-drama with his tattoo sleeve and fitted shirts. The drama revolves around Yoon-Bom, played by Lee Joo-Been who moves to a small town to start over and meets Sun Jae-Gyu (Ahn Bo-Hyun), a local who is loved by everyone!

No Tail to Tell - TBA

Eun Ho, a gumiho with nine tails, embraces her eternal youth and avoids human experiences. Kang Si Yeol, a successful soccer player, lives a perfect life until Eun Ho enters, altering the course of his life unexpectedly. The drama stars Kim Hye-Yoon and Park Solomon and will be airing this January!

Undercover Miss Hong - TBA

Set in the late 1990s, Hong Geum-Bo, an elite securities supervisor in her 30s, disguises herself as a 20-year-old junior employee at a securities company where suspicious money flows are detected. The drama marks Park Shin-Hye’s comeback after Doctor Slump.

Perfect Crown - TBA

One of the most anticipated K-dramas of 2026 starring IU and Byeon Woo-Seok, Perfect Crown revolves around a chaebol who wants to marry a modern day prince to increase her status symbol. The prince on the other hand, has to get married in order to run his palace. While the two start off on the wrong foot, sparks fly as they spend more time together!

The Remarried Empress - JioHotstar

Empress Navier is taken aback by her husband's cruel demand for a divorce so he can wed his mistress, but she doesn't give up easily. Instead, she takes a risk and joins forces with an enigmatic Prince Heinrey from the Western Kingdom in an unlikely alliance. The drama stars Shin Min-Ah, Ju Ji-Hoon, Lee Jong-Suk and Lee Se-Young. 

East Palace - Netflix

East Palace is a Netflix historical fantasy/horror K-drama starring Nam Joo-hyuk, Roh Yoon-Seo, and Cho Seung-Woo, about a ghost-slaying traveler (Nam Joo-hyuk) and a court lady who hears ghosts (Roh Yoon-seo) who team up to uncover a curse in the Crown Prince's palace, as requested by the King (Cho Seung-woo). The drama will be Nam Joo-Hyuk’s comeback post his military service and we’re rather excited to see him back on-screen!

Scandals - Netflix

Son Ye-Jin and Ji Chang-Wook are a dream K-drama pair we never knew we needed! A remake of Untold Scandal (2003), Scandals explores a racy, forbidden love game during the Joseon era!

Portraits of Delusion - JioHotstar

Kim Seon-Ho and Bae-Suzy's characters may not have ended up together in Start-Up, but years later, they finally might give us what we want with Portraits Of Delusion, a Disney+ Original series which mixes the mystery thriller genre with a time travel twist!

Solo Leveling - Netflix

Sung Jin-woo, known as the weakest hunter, struggles to survive. After a near-death experience, however, he comes back with a mysterious program that significantly levels up his abilities. Another Byeon Woo-Seok K-drama that has us all eagerly awaiting this one and the actor stars alongside Han Soo-Hee and we cannot wait to see how their chemistry unfolds!

Showbusiness - Netflix

2026 is truly turning out to be THE year for grand on-screen collaborations. Gong Yoo and Song Hye Kyo in Show Business will be a delight to watch for so many fans around the world! The Netflix Original series depicts the birth and rapid growth of South Korea's entertainment industry post the Korean war era.

Variety - Netflix

Son Ye-Jin and Squid Game’s Jo Yu-Ri will play the lead roles in Netflix’s upcoming K-drama thriller, Variety. The series is centered on the idol industry, shedding light on the darker aspects of it all!

The Wonderfools - Netflix

The Wonderfools is an anticipated Netflix superhero K-drama starring Park Eun-Bin and Cha Eun-Woo, about ‘defective superhumans’ with uncontrollable powers, where Cha Eun-woo plays a socially awkward civil servant, Lee Un Jeong and Park Eun-bin is a wealthy woman with a heart condition, Eun Chae Ni, their meeting sparks a connection neither of them expect!

Human x Gumiho - Prime Video

Human X Gumiho is a fantasy rom-com starring Jun Ji-Hyun, who plays a 2,000-year-old gumiho actress and Ji Chang-Wook, who plays a shaman immune to her powers. The drama is set to release in the latter half of 2026.

Boyfriend on Demand - Netflix

A burned-out webtoon artist discovers a unique virtual dating subscription service that lets her meet her ideal matches, blurring the lines between her reality and digital romance. The drama stars Jisoo of Blackpink and Seo In-Guk in the lead and this will be Jisoo’s comeback to K-dramas post Snowdrop.

Grand Galaxy Hotel - Netflix

Grand Galaxy Hotel is a Netflix Korean fantasy romance K-drama, or also known as the spiritual successor to Hotel Del Luna, featuring Lee Do-Hyun as the moody new owner and Shin Si-ah as the human manager of a hotel for ghosts, with Lee Soo-Hyuk as a grim reaper and Lee Su-hyun as a mysterious figure, exploring the lives and stories of spirits!

In Your Brilliant Season - TBA

In Your Brilliant Season follows Sunwoo Chan, a cheerful animator who loses his hearing and memory after a mysterious accident, and his journey with Song Ha-Ran, a talented designer who becomes his savior, as they navigate their complicated pasts and relationships. The drama stars Lee Sung-Kyung and Chae Jong-Hyeop as leads!

100 Days of Lies - Netflix

100 Days of Lies is a historical spy-romance K-drama starring Kim Yoo-Jung and Park Jin-Young, set during the Japanese colonial era, about a top pickpocket who goes undercover as a spy for the Korean independence movement, where she develops feelings amidst secrets and political tension.

Four Hands - TBA

Four Hands is a musical coming-of-age drama starring Song Kang and Lee Jun-Young as rival piano prodigies at an arts high school. The story focuses on their friendship, love, rivalry, and growth from youth to adulthood, exploring themes of musical passion and self-discovery. 

Gold Land - JioHotstar

Kim Hui-Ju works as a security screening agent at an international airport. But due to her boyfriend Lee Do-Gyeong, who works as a co-pilot for an airline, she accidentally receives gold from a smuggling organization. As Kim Hui-Ju becomes obsessed with the gold, she becomes the center of chaos, greed and betrayal! The drama stars Park Bo-Young and Kim Sung-Cheol in the lead!

The Waking - TBA

The series delves into a world where two opposing organizations grapple with the existence of giants. Choi Woo-Shik plays Jun-Ho, a character whose ordinary life working in a cold storage facility takes a dramatic twist. Jun-ho’s fate changes when he discovers a mysterious stone that bestows upon him the power to grow into a giant. As he navigates his new form, he infiltrates one of the organizations managing these colossal beings.

Pig Pen -TBA

Starring Jang Ki-Young, Park Hee-Soon, Choi Young-Joon and Roh Jung-Eui, Pig Pen revolves around a man who wakes up stranded on an island, with no idea who he is. He is taken in by a father and daughter, whom he immediately finds suspicious!
