Single’s Inferno- Netflix

Over the years, Single’s Inferno has become the most watched Korean reality show. The concept of the show consists of a group of gorgeous singles living together on an island called ‘Inferno’ where they cook, clean, eat and get to know each other. If a couple successfully pairs up, they win an overnight date in paradise which is a luxury hotel. The show’s escapism and the intense drama of who chooses who is the reason why viewers look forward to a new season all year round!

EXchange- Prime Video

Also known as Transit Love, this popular show gives couples who have long broken up a second chance to reunite with their ex or to find new love. The cast includes pairs of exes, who all move into a shared house on Jeju Island. The former couples also have to treat each other like strangers, while the housemates get to know each other and go on dates, adding another layer to the drama.

Better Late Than Single- Netflix

A couple of singles live together for nine days, getting makeovers and dating guidance while seeking real connections!

Love After Divorce- Netflix

Newly single and ready to mingle, divorced men and women enter the Dolsing Village looking to date, cohabitate and find love again. It makes for an interesting watch as we see them put themselves out there in the dating pool again!

Culinary Class Wars- Netflix

This reality series recruits 100 talented chefs to battle it out for the title of the most skilled cook in Korea. 20 contestants are White Spoons, a.k.a. culinary celebrities who have already found fame or acclaim before appearing on the show. The other 80 are Black Spoons, underdogs fighting to prove themselves against these culinary celebs. The show is judged by three-Michelin-starred chef Ahn Sung-Jae and Netflix regular Paik Jong-Won which makes for an edge of the seat entertainment!

Physical: 100- Netflix

In this smash-hit survival series, 100 contestants from Olympic gold medalists to pro bodybuilders and fitness YouTubers experience intense challenges to determine which among them has the perfect physique.

Kian’s Bizarre B&B- Netflix

A popular recent theme on Korean variety shows is celebrities running bed and breakfasts open to non-famous guests. In this show, manhwa (Korean webtoon) artist and TV personality Kian84 runs a B&B on Ulleungdo Island with his employees, SNL Korea’s Ji Ye-eun and BTS member Jin. While the interactions between the guests and hosts are very endearing, the big draw for this show is how the B&B becomes a constant obstacle course, featuring a climbing wall as the front door and fire poles for stairs. It makes for an hilarious yet interesting watch at the same time!

Jinny’s Kitchen- Prime Video

This travel show is part of a series of specials in which actors open and operate a Korean restaurant in a tranquil corner of the world. Oscar winner and Minaristar Youn Yuh-Jung used to lead the cast, though, in later installments, actor Lee Seo-Jin has been in charge of the shop. Returning cast members Jung Yu-Mi, Park Seo-Joon, and Choi Woo-Shik join him in running a Korean street food eatery for two weeks in Bacalar, Mexico and Reykjavík, Iceland. BTS's V rounded out the cast as season 1's intern, while season 2 recruited Netflix regular star Go Min-Si.
