On September 17 a Korean Drama called Squid Game was released on Netflix. And till this day, it's the biggest series on Netflix because as of today almost 111 M Netflix subscribers have watched the show in over 90 countries. So, what is it really about this series that has turned it into a phenomenon over just two weeks? As the title suggests, this is a game show where there are hundreds of cash-strapped contestants who have accepted an invitation to compete in children's games for a tempting prize at the end in the form of $45.6 billion. But losing at any stage results in the Squid Game version of elimination aka death. Across 9 episodes, 6 games are played in this survival drama television series. And many people in India have been connecting the dots between this show and LUCK which was released in 2009.
