New Update
Jaat

Sunny Deol's 'Jaat' is living up to the action star's mass appeal, recording a promising weekend remaining second only to Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava so far.

Sunny Deol has one of the biggest mass appeals in Bollywood and his latest outing with Jaat seems to be reiterating the same. Deol’s actioner is doing well at the Box office as the film rounded off its opening weekend with a four-day collection of Rs 40.25 crore. The film earned Rs. 14 crore on Sunday, registering its highest single-day figures so far. This is the second-biggest opening weekend for Deol after Gadar 2, which raked a whopping Rs. 135 crore in three days upon its release in 2023.

According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Jaat has been going strong at single-screen mass pockets however, multiplexes were slow to warm up to the film before Sunday. With Monday being a holiday since it's Ambedkar Jayanti, the film is expected to carry forward the momentum before settling into regular weekday trends from Tuesday onward.

Deol’s mass entertainer seems to be the second Bollywood film after Chhaava that is registering good numbers at the box office. In its four-day run, Jaat has already become the action star's fourth-higest earning film. This film was released on Thursday and witnessed a decent opening day with collections of Rs 9.5 crore. However, the spike witnessed in the collections on Sunday has signaled that the audience is finally showing some inclination towards the film.

Jaat is directed by Gopichand Malineni and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Zee Studios, and People Media Factory. The film also stars Randeep Hooda, Vineet Kumar Singh, Regina Cassandra, Saiyami Kher, and Jagapathi Babu in important roles.
