Vlogs dominate social media and we love how people, right from regular users to public figures, are channeling their creative energy into creating something fun, interesting and sometimes even educational. But have you wondered what your favorite Bollywood characters, especially on-screen parents would be up to if they hopped on the vlogging bandwagon? With their iconic personalities and unique quirks, many of them would undoubtedly make sensational vloggers, winning over the audiences with wisdom, unfiltered takes and inspiring life experiences!

Let's discuss some on-screen parents who fit this list!

Yash Raichand - Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham

Mr. Raichand’s style and enigma in K3G made everyone swoon over his personality. Hailing from an illustrious family and being a successful industrialist himself, Mr. Raichand, as a motivational speaker and podcaster hosting other business tycoons, would be a treat to watch. Who wouldn’t want to hear interesting stories of his business deals, negotiations or experiences of socialising with major political figures? I'd definitely subscribe!

Mrs. Acharya - Dostana

Kirror Kher in Dostana embodied a typical Indian mom - she was loud, had no filters and wore her emotions on her sleeve, something that would make her a perfect fit for reaction videos. Imagine Mrs. Acharya reacts to GenZ’s interesting takes on dating and relationships, viral food combos like Fanta Maggie or trends like Matcha and Labubu dolls. Entertainment unlimited!

Mr. and Mrs. Sarabhai - Sarabhai vs Sarabhai

The Sarabhais from South Bombay would go crazy viral if they start making family vlogs. Imagine the scale of wholesomeness of these videos which will be packed with Maya's life as a socialite, Indravadan’s playful comments and the banter between Monisha's middle-class habits and Maya’s sheer disdain for it. Pure chaos!

Fairy Sushma - Shararat

Farida Jalal essaying a parent/grandparent lights up our screen and our hearts with her effortless charm. They don't make them like that anymore. Her role in Shararat as the adorable nani aka fairy Sushma was one of our favourite characters growing up. But how about our favorite nani sharing some magic tricks and tips while also imparting some wisdom about life? We reckon that’s going to be an instant hit!

Shashi - English Vinglish

Shashi’s charming, slightly hesitant but ultimately inspiring home chef and life lessons vlogs would be such a delight to watch. We would love to see her share some authentic Indian sweet recipes while also sharing her life experiences and some fun anecdotes from her visit to New York. The simple and authentic vibe of her vlogs would win over the audience in no time.

Santosh Duggal - Do Dooni Chaar

Rishi and Neetu Kapoor as Santosh and Kusum Duggal were one of the most relatable on-screen parents ever! Since Mr. Duggal is a Math teacher to some devious teenage students, we'd love to see him create vlogs about 'days in the life of a math teacher' and perhaps also guide viewers to solve math problems on camera. We can expect good laughs, grumpy comments and some precious life lessons from him!

Kavita Malhotra - 2 States

We all love some sassy, relatable and unfiltered take on daily life and who better than Mrs. Kavita Malhotra can we trust for delivering some fierce opinions? Her rants about in-laws, family drama, and the challenges of managing adult children would be hilarious to watch. Also, given the enthusiasm with which she talks about Punjabi food and culture, she could also showcase her vibrant culture, festive celebrations and traditional recipes with some witty commentary of course!

Mahavir Singh Phogat - Dangal

Mr. Phogat’s no-nonsense, highly disciplined vlogs imparting some wrestling wisdom and game tips would come in handy for fitness enthusiasts. His videos about instilling discipline in life, whether it's for sports, studies or daily habits, would offer our usually distracted generation some much needed motivation and inspiration to correct the course of our lives.

Rajpal Kirar - Dream Girl

It's the era of brain rot and one person we believe could deliver us some mindless yet classy entertainment is Havaldaar Rajpal Kirar and his senseless shayaris. We are definitely hitting the subscribe button for some hilarious poems on his daily struggles and longing for love.

Nirmala Devi Rathore - Khoobsurat

Ratna Pathak Shah as Queen Nirmala Devi Rathore, was a stickler for rules, etiquette and elegance. She would be the best fit for no nonsense tutorials on table manners, formal gatherings and the art of dressing up for high-society occasions. As some bonus content, she could also give her viewers some tips on home organization, antique care, and garden maintenance or talk about the good ol' days when she'd indulge in some taang adaana.
