The trailer of Priyanka Chopra Jonas’ Heads of State dropped on Wednesday and has got the internet talking about it. The trailer sees Chopra Jonas on a rescue mission to save the US President and UK Prime Minister, essayed byJohn Cena and Idris Elba respectively and promises an action-packed buddy comedy between the two leaders who share public rivalry and are forced to team up against a global conspiracy after their plane is attacked. We then get to see Priyanka playing a fierce agent who needs ‘no back-up’, assigned with the task of evacuating the leaders to a safe spot.
While the comic chemistry between Cena and Elba and exciting action sequences work for the trailer, the film comes across as a regular Hollywood action comedy packaged with heavy CGI and monotone dialogues. The trailer was recieved with mixed responses from the viewers. While a section of social media users loved the banter between Cena and Elba, others found the theme to be pretty generic.
