Bollywood has given us enough unrealistic standards about love, marriage and our ideal partner as it is and now with the sudden rise in these celebrity weddings where the pictures look like a painting, the decor looks like a magical land where everything falls perfectly in place and is aesthetic, and the modern day bride and groom go for subtle yet sophisticated colour palettes for their wedding outfits, just add to us also wanting to jump on the wedding bandwagon right about now! Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani’s wedding has been the talk of the town for the past few weeks now. From the paparazzi completely going berserk and over the top with the updates, we’ve still all succumbed to discussions amongst ourselves about it and patiently waited to see what they looked like.
Earlier today, Kiara Advani shared a short video from their wedding which looked so surreal that it felt like a movie in itself. Her bridal entry, their varmala ceremony and Ranjha, a song from their own movie, Shershaah playing in the background, melted our hearts and made us feel so single at the same time. Even the way the video is shot makes the wedding look so royal. The Wedding Filmer has previously also worked on many other celebrity weddings as well and their 1 minute video looks way better than most movie trailers do these days. We’ve all grown up imagining our very own Bollywood style wedding but not all of us are as lucky to make those extravagant dreams come true. But what these weddings do remind us is that as long as you have the right one beside you on the mandap, everything will automatically start feeling like a fairytale. Seeing their pictures re-ignites that hope of us also glowing with so much love on our wedding day!
KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty also got married last month and last year, Ranbir and Alia’s wedding was also one of the major highlights of 2022, Ranveer and Deepika’s wedding was also kept under wraps until the very end but the pictures actually looked like Sanjay Leela Bhansali has actually directed their wedding too. Anushka and Virat’s wedding was so precious that we still cannot hear ‘Din Shagna Da’ without Anushka’s video flashing in our minds. We love seeing a love story go from reel life to real life but it’s even more special to see them making it meaningful in their own way. Like how Ranbir and Alia decided to get married in the balcony of the house they live in, where their relationship blossomed or how Kiara’s kalira had Sidharth’s late dog, Oscar’s face on it. At the end of the day it’s all about the little things and celebrities too, just like their movies, like living out their happily ever after, the same way all of us do!
The spree of celebrity weddings is definitely everyone’s favourite topic these days or rather a look book for to-be brides and grooms.
