#WorldPoetryDay on Twitter Spaces was celebrated with Kavishala. Check out here all that happened on world poetry day on Twitter Space.
Twitter is where people go to follow their interests and have conversations on what they’re most passionate about. Over the years, several diverse conversations have surfaced on Twitter around interests such as photography, art, dance, cooking, and the likes. In fact, a recent Twitter survey revealed that 41% of the women and 35% of men have discovered new interests in the service. The survey also revealed that 17% of women and 18% of men come to Twitter to follow conversations on art.
Is it any wonder then that #WorldPoetryDay is a moment of celebration for poetry enthusiasts on Twitter. Whether it's English #poetry, Hindi #kavitaor Urdu #shayari, the poetry community on Twitter is an eclectic blend. Several poetry accounts like @Kavishala, @Rekhta, @JashneRekhta, @PoetsHouseIndia, have been hosting conversations with poets across India, forming positive communities through their shared love for lyrics, verses, and rhymes. In fact, to celebrate #WorldPoetryDay on 19th March, @Kavishala hosted a first-of-its-kind #KavishalaOpenMic on Twitter Spaces - a new feature that enables people to come together in an intimate environment to have live audio conversations. The poetry Space hosted by Ankur Mishra (@iAnkurMishra) featured well-known poets like Nirmika Singh (@Nirmika), Ruchi Kokcha (@ruchikokcha), Faridoon Shahryar (@iFaridoon), Ashwini Dodani (@AshwiniDodani), Abhay K (@theabhayk), and Raj Sekhar (@rajshekharis) who recited poems and talked about their love for poetry.
As we celebrated #WorldPoetryDay, let's take a look at what the Indian poetry community has been saying on Twitter -
