Internet's 'Choti Deepika' and Moj creator, Rashi Shinde talks to us about her acting journey on social media and Ranveer Singh's appreciation.

A 12-year-old actor on the popular short-video platform Moj, Rashi is shocking the internet with her amazing talent. Along with her mother, she started her account on the app following her love for acting. With a following of more than 10 million on Moj, Rashi has grown to become a popular artist online. By sharing lip-syncing and dancing videos, she's proven why she should be a part of Bollywood movies. She's accomplished so much at a very young age and that's proof of her talent.
Her videos always garner millions of views and have always been able to capture the attention of well-known artists of the industry. It was not only her fellow creators and Youtubers who have been praising her talent but also Ranveer Singh. After sharing a video of her lip-syncing to an iconic dialogue from Goliyon Ki RasLeela Ramleela, Ranveer shared a tweet praising her skills. He called her 'Choti Deepika' highlighting how she was able to catch the mannerisms gracefully. Ketchup had the opportunity to have a chat with the Rashi and she was excited to answer our questions.

How did you start making these videos? Where did you start?
Actually meri mummy social media par videos banati thi main bahut choti thi tab, I think main 7 saal ki thi, mujhe itna acha nahi lagta tha lekin main aisi hi dekhti thi videos social media par, toh ek maine mummy ko bola ki mujhe aapke saath ek video banani hai toh mummy ne bola ki tu mat kar tu bahut choti hai abhi toh maine kaha ki mera mann hai tu mummy ne bola ki tu karle mere saath video, toh phir jab maine kiya toh bahut hi acha response aaya toh phir mummy ne socha ki rashi ko videos karne dete hain.
How did you feel when you first started creating these videos?
Matlab mujhe bahut zyada sharam aa rahi thi videos nikaal ne ke time par, lekin phir jab maine response dekha toh mujhe bahut khushi hui videos nikalne ke liye.
Can you talk about how Moj has helped your digital career?
Actually moj par mauj hai, meri life change ho gayi hai moj ki wajah se main thank you bolna chahungi, thank you so much moj! Actually moj se rashi ki life change ho gayi aur followers bhi badh gaye toh tab se uski moj hi ho gayi.
Did you expect the kind of appreciation that Rashi is receiving?
Rashi's mom says, "Nahi ma’am, humein toh nahi laga ki rashi itni jaldi itni famous ho jayegi, matlab bahut ache ache theater hain aur sets hai toh itne ache logon ko rashi takkar de rahi hai toh humein bahut acha laga."
Rashi ke videos banane ke liye gaane kaun select karta hai? Aur uski madat kaun karta hai?
Rashi's mom says, "Gaane toh main hi select karti hoon, yeh toh bahut choti hai gaane select karne ke liye, jaise mujhe bachpan main Kajol aur Madhuri bahut pasand the toh main isko bhi bolti hoon ki mujhe yeh bahut acche se aata hai tu iss par videos bana, lekin yeh aaj ki generation hai toh inko gaane bhi wahi pasand aate hain phir bhi main usse ek do gaane de deti hoon jo purane ho woh shoot ho jaate tu usko main agar saree pehenna doon toh suit ho jaata hai."
Who helps her prepare for her videos?
Rashi's mom says, "Thoda main kar deti hoo, thoda rashi karti hai khud se isko make - up wagera bhi aata hai, usko bahut pasand hai makeup karna."

Mujhe bahut hi acha laga tha aur isse pehle bhi maine unki video dekhi thi toh mujhe bahut hi acha laga! Ma’am, main toh sapne main bhi nahi soch sakti thi itni badi cheez kyunki hum jahan par rehte hain na wahan aise ladkiyon ko bahaar ladki ko dupatta pehen ke saadgi se nikalna padta hai ladkiyon ko toh maine itna freedom ki jo pehena hai, hum ek chote se gaon se hain jo shirdi ke paas hai, toh yahan par soch bhi nahi aise video nikalne ke baare main.
Toh aapne socha kaise yeh karne ka kyunki yeh aam baat toh nahi hai?
Rashi's mom says,"Jab maine aisa start kiya toh mere pariwaar aur sasural ne bahut kuch sunaya tha ki yeh sab nahi chalega matlab rashi ke papa aur meri saas ne mujhe bahut support kiya ki bahaar agar nahi support mil raha toh videos ghar par bana do. Baaki family main se kisi ne support nahi kiya lekin abhi sab khush hai ki rashi ko itna naam mila hai."
How does Rashi manage her studies and content creation?
Rashi's mom says, "Gaon main covid ke wajah se school toh bandh hai 2 saal se toh abhi khula hai iska school par woh manage karti hai usko 2 saal main bahut time mila aur abhi bhi uska school online hai toh woh manage karti hai."
Do you plan on continuing your passion along with your studies in the future?
What do you love the most while making these videos?
Actually humein shoot main jaane ke liye bahut dikkat hoti hai maza aata nahi hai kuch karne ko, kyunki yahan par videos banane ka kuch zyada hai toh mujhe har baar rashi ko lekar shirdi jaana padta hai wahan par ek friend ka ghar hai wahaan hum tayaar hote hain sab manage hote dopahar bhi nikaal jaati hai. Ek video banane ko jyada time nahi leti hai ek naya trend aaya hai toh woh usse bhi catch kar leti hai.
How do you decide, ki konse videos appko share karna hai?
Actually Moj par hashtags rehte hain toh wahan se pata hai chalta hai agar yeh trends main.
Aapne celebrities ke saath kafi dance videos share kiye hai. So do you love dancing too?
Mujhe dance karna bahut pasand nahi hai lekin hamare yahaan class nahi hai toh moj main jo videos hai dance ke main ussi main se dekh ke dance karti hoon.
How do you express so well? What is your secret?
Rashi's mom says, "Actually uska secret meri mummy hai kyunki woh meri inspiration hai matlab woh mere songs select karti hai toh woh songs par main karti hoon." Rashi's dad adds, "Yeh jo sawaal hai na yeh bilkul rashi ki mummy ka sapna tha, unko acting karni thi woh bahut filmy hai, lekin woh itne rich nahi the toh nahi ho paya lekin phir shaadi ke baad jab rashi ka janam hua toh unke DNA main jo talent tha woh rashi ko bhi mil gaya."
