The period of being a child to adulthood is interesting and filled with learnings and since there's no one way to live life, there are so many ways this transition takes place for all of us. Hence, there are just as many stories to tell! Whether it's the first heartbreak that acts as a catalyst in one growing up, or a newfound responsibility for someone, the mysterious yet exciting fact about coming of age is that you never know what might do it. That one instance could do it for someone or it might take many instances for somebody else. And that's why we like to watch stories about this transition. Watching films and TV shows on this is nostalgic for adults and it's a relief for people in the transition to know that there is somebody else out there who is experiencing the same thing that they are too.
