Aarohi Pandit

Mumbai based, 23-years old, Aarohi Pandit has become world’s first female pilot to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean in a Light Sport Aircraft (LSA). This is a very proud moment not just for India, but for women all over the world.

Aarohi Pandit completed a long journey, divided into five parts, starting from Wick in UK. She stopped at Iceland and Greenland, finally finishing her journey by landing at the Iqaluit airport in Canada on 13th May, 2019. This also made her the woman in the world to finish a solo flight across the Greenland ice cap in an LSA.

Twitter has been pouring in their best wishes for Pandit and rightfully so!

Aarohi is flying around the globe after a rigorous seven month training, as part of WE! Women Power Expedition. It is the first all-women expedition to circumnavigate the world in LSAs.

This is indeed a very honorable moment for India and we congratulate Aarohi on this big achievement!
