Amazon Dating

Rejoice! Amazon Dating might just help you get over your single status before Valentine's Day.

In a world where dating apps often portray people more as objects or commodities instead of actual people looking for love, Amazon Dating arrives on the scene giving you a reason to laugh instead of your sad, single life.

This satirical parody is the brainchild of content creators Suzy Shinn, Ani Acopian, and Morgan Gruer, who collaborated with animation company Thinko to bring Amazon Dating into existence.

The site has all the trademark amazon options, but instead of things, it’s people.

On this website, you can look up people’s bio’s which has information like height, weight, age etc. with photos from various angles and you find yourself going through the details as if you are buying an LED lamp for your bedroom. After finding the right product for your “needs” you can choose to add it to your cart or click on the buy now option.

There are many features which are as funny as they are easy to miss

There are many little nuggets the creators have left for the keenest eye to find. There are the obvious ones, like when you click on the ‘Your Last Relationship’ option, you will be redirected to the music video for ‘Toxic’ by Brittney Spears. Similarly, when you click on ‘Help’ you will be sent to a WikiHow page titled “How to unhook a bra?”.

One of the funniest and easy-to-miss things we found was when you click the drop-down menu for selecting the height of your ‘date’, there is ‘nice’ written next to 6,9’’. Wink, wink.

Only if it was this easy to find dates in real life {the ones you don’t pay for, of course}.

Here’s an actual plan, that’ll work for all you singles out there: #LetsKetchup: The best Indian web shows of 2019 for a binge-watch marathon
