Day 10 at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival was full of awards, premieres and more appearances on the red carpet from Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to Urvashi Rautela. Here are the highlights from the day!
With just two days left at Cannes 2025 to raise down the curtains and roll the carpet back up, the tenth day the 78th Film Festival was buzzing with announcement of a few awards and some international premieres. As the short film catgeory La Cinef announced its four awardee winner filmmakers, there was also a film that was awarded Best Immersive Work. Besides these updates, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Urvashi Rautela were back on the red carpet for their next apperances.

Cannes 2025 La Cinef winners announced
The winners of the La Cinef short film category at the 78th Cannes Film Festival were announced at the Buñuel Theatre, followed by a screening of the awarded titles. Presided over by acclaimed German filmmaker Maren Ade, the Short Films and La Cinef Jury honored four standout emerging filmmakers: Heo Gayoung for First Summer (South Korea), Qu Zhizheng for 12 moments before the flag-raising ceremony (China), Miki Tanaka for Ginger Boy (Japan) and Natalia Mirzoyan for Winter In March (Estonia).
Best Immersive Work: From Dust by Michel van der Aa
Dutch artist Michel van der Aa took home the prize for Best Immersive Work for From Dust, a digital opera experience that blends haunting vocal compositions by ensemble Sjaella with ethereal electronic soundscapes. Set in a surreal, interactive universe, the work pushes the boundaries of immersive storytelling and redefines how audiences experience narrative-driven art. Returning for its second edition, the Immersive Competition transformed into a showcase of the future of entertainment that featured 16 works from 9 countries: 9 in competition, 2 non-competitive, and 5 in a special Focus on Luxembourg.
Competition premieres: Saeed Roustaee and Bi Gan return to Cannes
On the competition front, two much-anticipated films had their world premieres today. Iranian filmmaker Saeed Roustaee returned with Zan O Bacheh (Woman and Child), a searing drama that delves into a family's pursuit of justice amidst a complex social and legal system. Chinese auteur Bi Gan premiered Resurrection, a meditative and dreamlike exploration of truth, where memories and imagination intertwine.
Out of competition: Colors of Time by Cédric Klapisch premieres
Cédric Klapisch’s Colors of Time premiered out of competition and offered a time-hopping narrative that connects Adèle, a woman living in 19th-century France, to her modern-day descendants. The film follows four estranged cousins as they uncover their shared ancestry, drawing unexpected parallels between past and present. The film sparked buzz on the red carpet.
Red carpet moments: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Urvashi Rautela
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made her second appearance at Cannes 2025, this time walking the red carpet alongside Helen Mirren in a stunning Gaurav Gupta gown. Meanwhile, Urvashi Rautela showed up in an elaborately embellished ensemble, continuing her fashion streak at the festival.
India at Cannes: The Age of Bhaarat presented at Indian Pavilion
At the Indian Pavilion, creators of The Age of Bhaarat - India's first AAA action-adventure game shared insights into their epic project. Inspired by Indian mythology, the game features narrative arcs where players battle rakshasas, explore ancient kingdoms, and participate in a cooperative gaming universe. The creators emphasized their aim to take Indian storytelling to a global stage through cutting-edge technology and culturally rooted gameplay.
