The award season continues with the Emmys 2024 and here’s the whole list of who won what last night!
After the Golden Globes, we have a new red carpet the celebrities walked on this week and that was for the Emmys 2024. While Oscars only honor movies, the Emmys are only for the best of television. The past year, we’ve seen some phenomenal content and performances that just stayed with us way after the show was over. So it feels rather good to see these shows get the recognition they deserve. There were three shows in particular that dominated the night though. Succession, The Bear and Beef won in almost every category they were nominated for in the drama, comedy and limited series department respectively. Succession and The Bear tied with six wins each and Beef followed with five.
The show was hosted by Anthony Anderson and the evening was also filled with many emotional moments throughout. Everyone sitting in the audience gave a standing ovation to Christina Applegate who was one of the presenters of the evening. This was because she recently announced that she is battling with multiple sclerosis and the Emmys was one of the rare appearances she made after a long time. Charlie Puth and The War and the Treaty performed the ‘Friends’ theme song in memory of the beloved Matthew Perry.
