Today, we woke up to Cillian Murphy and Kieran Culkin's speech and that was enough to get us excited about the Golden Globes 2024 and everything that went down at the show. Oppenheimer and Succession were the talk of the award show as they took away the most awards including 5 for Oppenheimer, most for any film, and 4 for Succession. It feels like Barbie got snubbed with just one honorary award and it was an equally bad night for Swifties as there was no trophy for Taylor Swift. Nevertheless, these highlights from the 81st Golden Globe Awards made our day!

Who won what?
Oppenheimer emerged as the triumphant film of the year according to the Golden Globes. It won 5 awards out of 8 nominations- Best Film (Drama), Best Director for Christopher Nolan, Best Film Actor (Drama) for Cillian Murphy, Best Supporting Actor Film for Robert Downey Jr, and Best Score.
Succession season 4 also won 4 awards including Best TV Actor (Drama) for Kieran Culkin (Roman Roy), Best TV Actress (Drama) for Sarah Snook (Shiv Roy), Best Supporting Actor (TV) for Matthew Macfayden (Tom Wambsgans), and Best Series (Drama).
To everyone's surprise, Poor Things won Best Film (Musical/Comedy) and Best Film Actress (Musical/Comedy) for Emma Stone. The Holdovers won Best Actor (Musical/Comedy) for Paul Giamatti and Best Supporting Actress with Da'Vine Joy Randolph. Barbie won Best Original Song with Billie Eilish's 'What Was I Made for?' and Cinematic and Box Office Achievement.
Best Film Actress (Drama) was bagged by Lily Gladstone for Killers of the Flower Moon. Also, Anatomy of a Fall won Best Screenplay and Best Foreign Language Film.
The Bear and Beef also took away awards under the category of Television. The Bear won Best TV Series (Musical/Comedy), Best Actress TV (Musical/Comedy) for Ayo Edebiri, and Best Actor TV (Musical/Comedy) for Jeremy Allen. Beef won for Best Limited Series (Anthology/TV Movie), Best Actress Limited Series (Anthology/TV Movie) for Ali Wong, and Best Actor Limited Series (Anthology/TV Movie) for Steven Yeun.
Elizabeth Debicki won Best Supporting Actress (TV) for The Crown while Ricky Gervais won Best Performance in Stand-up Comedy (TV). Best Animated Film was bagged by The Boy and the Heron.
Apart from the winners and trophies
Jo Koy was the first-time presenter at the Golden Globes. It was met with weird reaction shots of Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, and others present on the award night.
