New Update
Golden Globes 2024 nominations

The Golden Globe 2024 nominations are finally out and most of our favorite movies and TV shows from the year have made it to the list. Have a look!

Golden Globes is a prestigious award that honors the best of film and television. It’s one place where literally all of Hollywood gathers to celebrate phenomenal movies and shows from the whole year. Greta Gerwig’s ‘Barbie’ dominated the most nominations. Its 10 nominations has made it the second-most nominated movie in the Golden Globe history. Oppenheimer follows Barbie with 8 nominations. Seems like the two movies that created such a huge phenomenon worldwide, are going to compete with each other at the awards as well. Some other popular films from 2023 such as Killers of the Flower Moon, Maestro, Anatomy of a Fall, Past Lives and May December are also nominated in the prime movie categories of Drama and Comedy.

When it comes to TV shows, Succession’s last season is leading with 9 nominations, followed by Jeremy Allen White starrer The Bear and Selena Gomez’s Only Murders in the Building. The Best TV Drama category also includes The Crown, Last of Us, The Diplomat, and The Morning Show. And Abbott Elementary, Ted Lasso and Barry will compete in the Best Comedy section along with The Bear and Only Murders in the Building. This year, the Golden Globes has made quite a few significant changes. Each category has six nominations instead of five. It has also introduced two new categories - Cinematic and Box Office Achievement in Motion Pictures and Best Stand Up Comedian on Television. Simply so that movies like Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol: 3 are recognized for their insane box office collections and comedians like Trevor Noah, Amy Schumer and Ricky Gervais get nominations for their stand up specials.
