The movie focuses on Bala, a balding man played by Ayushmann. The movie focuses on the struggle he has to face because of his baldness and how he copes with it. It also shows Bala's relation with two women played by Yami Gautam and Bhumi Pednekar. While Yami is the quintessential beauty and fits the picture of presumed perfection in a color-obsessed country like India, Bhumi is the bold dusky girl who won't succumb to superficial beauty standards.
