Akshay Kumar's Bell Bottom releases on Amazon after a theatrical release but was this undercover mission successful for the janta? Let's find out!
A nation in jeopardy, an undercover mission, lots of stunts, and a whole lot of adrenaline rush, this sounds like an Akshay Kumar film because it is! Bell Bottom helmed by Ranjit M Tewari is inspired by a true story while it's not exactly factual. Akshay Kumar, an undercover RAW agent, who goes by the codename BellBottom goes on an undercover mission to rescue 210 hostages from a hijacked plane.
The film reopened theatres as it was the first commercial big starrer film that was released in the theatres. It recently came on to the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video. With Akshay Kumar, it also stars Vani Kapoor, Lara Dutta, Huma Qureshi, Adil Hussain, and Aniruddh Dave in pivotal roles. This espionage thriller shows Kumar as the undercover RAW agent who goes by the codename BellBottom and is living a good undercover life. He's a husband to Vaani Kapoor, who is a national-level chess player. He also has a sharp memory and is fluent in Hindi, English, French, and German. But the nation falls in jeopardy as this is the fifth aircraft hijack that they're facing in the span of a few years and hence BellBottom is called back to covert an undercover mission.
The film created a lot of buzz with its theatrical release and Lara Dutta's look as she is essaying the role of Indira Gandhi since the film is loosely based on real incidents that happened in the late 70s and early 80s during Indira Gandhi’s time as the Prime Minister of India. And follows the story of the planning and execution of the undercover mission to save the nation and the hostages.
Let's see what the janta is saying about Bell Bottom!

I just saw #BellBottom .Overall, it was a wonderful film, but I felt they should have sped the narration at some scenes. I personally loved the hard-hitting dialogues. #AkshayKumar as usual, is a brilliant performer in this too. Perfect film to start unlocking of Theatres! pic.twitter.com/E4GNmfMJ1o

Watched #BellBottom on #AmazonPrime Highly recommended. @akshaykumar has aced these kind of thrillers. Holiday was a remake, but then Baby was great & Naam Shabana was good prequel.
