Bangalore-based youth entrepreneur, culture curator, and storyteller, Anto Philip expands his journey into direction with Dreamland along with When Chai Met Toast and Job Kurian.

Known as one of the most dynamic youth entrepreneurs and culture shapers, Anto Philip now steps into a new creative role with his directorial debut, helming the music video for Dreamland, the latest single from beloved indie-folk band When Chai Met Toast (WCMT) featuring Job Kurian.

Dreamland is a heartfelt ode to Kerala, capturing the essence of “home” through its people, culture, and landscapes. Conceived during WCMT’s writing sessions in the hills of Kerala, the track weaves traditional folk instruments like the chenda and kombu into the band’s signature sound, celebrating roots with fresh energy.

Anto’s direction brings this story to life visually. Shot across breathtaking locales, the video journeys through intimate spaces and lush backdrops, culminating in a vibrant carnival of music, dance, and community. It’s a fitting extension of Anto’s cultural vision where storytelling meets youth, rhythm, and collective celebration.

“Directing Dreamland has been special, it allowed me to merge my love for storytelling with my deep connection to Kerala. This project is more than a video; it’s a celebration of home, identity, and togetherness,” says Anto Philip.

With Dreamland, Anto Philip not only amplifies WCMT’s soulful storytelling but also marks his entry into a new creative chapter as a visual storyteller.
