Prime Video announces Raakh

Prime Video on Monday announced Raakh, an investigative crime thriller starring Ali Fazal, Sonali Bendre, and Aamir Bashir. The announcement was accompanied by a tagline, "Justice will rise from the ashes," hinting at a complex narrative about vengeance and redemption. The show is slated to release in 2026.

Zakir Khan makes history with sold-out MSG show

In a historic moment for Indian comedy, stand-up comedian Zakir Khan became the first to perform a Hindi show at New York’s iconic Madison Square Garden. The comedian sold an impressive 13,000 tickets as part of his North America tour. Ahead of the show, Zakir’s posters were displayed on Times Square billboards, marking a significant milestone for his career.

Jitendra Kumar and Ravi Kishan to star in Mirzapur film

As per media reports, actorsJitendra Kumarand Ravi Kishan are set to feature in Mirzapur the film. While details about their characters are under the wraps, the two actors have begun shooting for the thriller. The film based on the popular web series was announced in 2024 with Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi and Divyenndu appearing in a video together. Created by Puneet Krishna and directed by Gurmmeet Singh, Mirzapur film is scheduled for release in 2026.


First Look of The Ba***ds of Bollywood unleashed

The first look of The Ba***ds of Bollywood, Aryan Khan's debut web series, was released on Sunday. Interspersed with glimpses of the show, the teaser opens with Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic ‘Ek ladki thi deewani si’ dialogue, followed by junior Khan’s interesting twist. The Ba***ds of Bollywood is written and directed by Aryan Khan and produced by Gauri Khan. Apart from Sahher Bamba and Lakshya, the show also stars Bobby Deol, Manoj Pahwa, Mona Singh, Manish Chaudhari, Raghav Juyal, Anya Singh, Vijayant Kohli, and Gautami Kapoor.

Maaresan to Premiere on Netflix 

The highly anticipated Tamil film Maareesan is set to premiere on Netflix on August 22. A drama thriller, starring Fahadh Faasiland Vadivelu, this Sudheesh Sankar directorial follows the journey of two men on an unexpected road trip that veers into a thrilling and mysterious journey.

Good Boy trailer released 

The official trailer for horror film Good Boy, released Monday. The glimpse followed Indy, a loyal dog, and his owner Todd (Shane Jensen) moving to a new home and finding paranormal activity lurking in the dark. As these evil forces encroach, the pet finds the courage to protect his owner and territory. Good Boy marks director Ben Leonberg’s feature debut and stars Arielle Friedman, Anya Krawcheck and Stuart Rudin. The film is set to release in theaters on October 3.

Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein gets theatrical and streaming dates

Guillermo del Toro’s highly anticipated adaptation of Frankenstein is set to hit the theaters on October 17. The film stars Oscar Isaac as Victor Frankenstein and Jacob Elordi as the Monster, alongside a cast that includes Mia Goth, Oscar Isaac, and Charles Dance. Following its theatrical run, it will be available to stream on Netflix on November 7.

Bengal Files trailer launched 

The official trailer for the upcoming film Bengal Files was launched Saturday, offering a first look at the political thriller. Part of a trilogy, the movie, according to media reports, sheds light on the communal violence in Bengal in 1946 and how it shaped India’s way to partition and independence. The Vivek Agnigotri directorial is set to release on September 5 and features Anupam Kher, Pallavi Joshi, Mithun Chakraborty and others in key roles.
