If 'Dabba Cartel' was your thing, then there's a whole world of shows out there with the same compelling drug cartel stories that you can binge on. Have a look!

There's something about these stories, right? The whole underworld thing, the power plays, the crazy risks people take in the drug world, the grip it has on you is just different. I've always been fascinated by it. If you got hooked on to 'Dabba Cartel' like I did, you're probably looking for more to keep the high going (pun not intended). Like 'Narcos' – which is like stepping into the history book of how the drug business became so big, but shown in a rather intense manner. You're right there with Pablo Escobar, watching how he built his empire. Then there's 'Saas, Bahu aur Flamingo', a wild mix of family drama and crime, where everyone's got secrets, and those secrets are as deadly as any drug deal. It's safe to say the 'drug cartel' genre is a fan favorite and hence more and more stories around it have been made over the years.

Saas, Bahu aur Flamingo - JioHotstar

'Saas, Bahu aur Flamingo' is created and directed by Homi Adajania. The show presents a unique twist on the traditional 'saas-bahu' dynamic. At its core, the series revolves around Savitri, also known as 'Rani Baa,' portrayed by Dimple Kapadia, a powerful matriarch who runs a drug cartel disguised as a cooperative producing "shantiras", a type of drug. The family dynamics are further complicated by Savitri's daughters-in-law aka Bijlee, portrayed by Isha Talwar, the eldest, and Kajal, played by Angira Dhar, the youngest, both of whom are deeply entrenched in the business. Just like Dabba Cartel, this one too has women at the center of all the crime and drama!

Queen of the South - Netflix

'Queen of the South' is a gripping crime drama that follows the journey of Teresa Mendoza played by Alice Braga, a woman who rises from poverty to become a powerful drug cartel leader. The basic plot centers on Teresa's escape from Mexico after her drug-running boyfriend is murdered. She seeks refuge in the United States, where she begins to build her own drug empire, driven by a desire for survival and revenge. The series is highly acclaimed by critics and viewers alike and if crime stories are your thing, then this one's gotta be on your watchlist!

El Chapo - Netflix

Snowfall - JioHotstar

'Snowfall' is an FX original crime drama series that explores the origins of the crack cocaine epidemic in Los Angeles during the early 1980s. The central figure is Franklin Saint, a young street entrepreneur played by Damson Idris, who seeks to gain power and wealth. An underrated show that's unknow to many, Snowfall serves as something new as compared to a lot of the popular stories in this genre!

Ozark - Netflix

'Ozark' centers around Marty Byrde, a financial advisor and a money launderer, portrayed by Jason Bateman, who, along with his wife Wendy, played by Laura Linney, is forced to relocate their family from Chicago to the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. This drastic move comes after a money laundering scheme for a Mexican drug cartel goes awry, and Marty must set up a larger operation to make amends. Jason Bateman plays his character with so much conviction on this show, it's hard not to fall in love with him as a viewer!

The Last Narc - Prime Video

'The Last Narc' delves into the complex and controversial 1985 murder of DEA agent Enrique Camarena. The series primarily focuses on the investigations led by DEA agent Héctor Berrellez, who seeks to uncover the truth behind Camarena's death. It presents testimonies from former cartel insiders and DEA agents, alleging that the murder involved not only Mexican drug lords but also potential complicity from within the CIA. What better than a drug cartel story mixed with a good old murder mystery? It's binging at its best!

Breaking Bad - Netflix

'Breaking Bad' is a critically acclaimed American crime drama television series created by Vince Gilligan. The show centers on Walter White (Bryan Cranston), a struggling high school chemistry teacher diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. Driven by a desire to secure his family's financial future, he teams up with a former student, Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul), to manufacture and sell crystal methamphetamine. This decision plunges them into the dangerous world of drug trafficking, leading to a complex and morally ambiguous journey.
