A weekend at the movies is just what we need with the new year, and January has that in abundance for us! Here’s every release date you simply cannot miss out on!
While OTT content is taking over our lives more than ever, nothing can ever match up to the feeling of watching a movie on the big screen. January 2025 brings us patriotic films, political biopics, animated films and festival favourites. Starting with Santosh starring Shahana Goswami which revolves around a woman who inherited her husband’s police officer job after he passed away. The film premiered at the Cannes and Mumbai Film festival in 2024. Kangana Ranaut starrerEmergency is finally being released this month after a lot of delays. The film is a biopic on former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. ‘A Real Pain’ starring Jesse Eisenberg and Kieran Culkin will also be released this month. The movie shows two cousins who take a road trip to honour their grandmother’s memory. A Republic Day release is a staple during this month, and in 2025, it’s Akshay Kumar’s Sky Force that will be dominating the screens. It's the era of re-release, and with the new year, we have Ayan Mukerji's'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' starring Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone coming back to the theatres as well!
