After an old interview with Simi Garewal that went viral, the Gen Z realized how Rekha was so ahead of her times. She answered the interviewer’s rather regressive questions about marriage with such wit! In the interview, she is asked if she’d want to marry ever again, to which she asks ‘to a man?’,the interviewer looked perplexed and said ‘obviously a man, not a woman!’ and she replies saying ‘why not?’. She was further lectured on how a woman can only feel secure with a man’s protection and she was not going to take that unsolicited advice at all. This is one of many incidents that prove she had so much wisdom to share and there’s so much to always learn from her.
Be it gifting a saree or passing on words of encouragement, she has never shied away from complimenting actresses who are currently doing their best work. Many a times we’ve seen her support other actresses by going to their movie screenings and coming out utterly impressed with the film and has been so vocal about it.
