Chinese Youtuber XNZ might have ended the decade long console war!

The hassle of plugging in a new console every time you want to play can finally end now that Chinese YouTuber 小宁子 XNZ has merged them all into one ultimate console.

Gaming consoles are physical devices that host games, digitally and physically, through disc drives. Sony’s PS5, Microsoft’s Xbox Series X and Nintendo’s Switch are considered the ‘Big 3s’ in the console industry. With a wide library of games along with high-quality visuals and smooth gameplay, every gamer yearns for at least one of them. While PS5 offers a set of exclusive games, Xbox provides its users with gamepasses at affordable prices, and then there’s Switch, which is very portable, unlike its competitors. However, no console offers all three, forcing gamers to buy all three or choose one and give up on the perks of the others. Even if they get all three, they all have their own wires and compatibility markers, which means changing consoles would be a hassle. That’s where Chinese YouTuber, 小宁子 XNZ, came with a new console that can revolutionise gaming forever.

Over on her YouTube channel, she announced her custom-made console, Ningtendo PXBOX 5, which lets users benefit from all three consoles. Her project merges the motherboards of all three devices into one console, which can be accessed with a single click. The console features a shared power supply of 250W with a custom aluminium cooling block and an internal switching system that lets one console run at a time. The motherboards are assembled in a triangular style, with each console being on one side.

While this new system is a great upgrade, it has some drawbacks. The biggest one is that it is not available for commercial use. Apart from that, it can only play games that are available digitally since it lacks the required hardware for disc drives. There is also a delay of up to 5 seconds when you are switching between consoles. It's also very complex to build, since one needs a good understanding of electronics and cooling designs. But ever since the news came out, the internet and the gaming community have been thrilled to get their hands on this project.
