From Team USA's Women's Hockey team standing up against sexism to trends connecting dots to get the ultimate gossip, here are the trends and conversations you must know.

While February marks the beginning of summer, the internet seems to already be in spring, with trends in full bloom. From connecting the dots that make piping-hot gossip to dancing to Alex Warren's 'Fever Dream', here are trends you need to try out.

Conversations:

The deal of all deals

For over two months, the fate of Warner Bros assets has depended on a raging bidding war between Paramount and Netflix. However, that war ended on 26th February, with Netflix backing down and Paramount buying out Warner Bros. This means that all content produced by Warner Bros will come under Paramount Pictures, which includes classics like Harry Potter and the DCU. Paramount is set to buy out all of Warner Bros and HBO's businesses for a staggering $111 Billion.

When should your video end?

There is a trend sweeping across South Indian feeds that is taking an uneasy turn. The trend features couples who share their current pictures along with their age, and look back to when they started dating. While romantic at first, it turns awkward when the age gap borders on pedophilia territory. For example, a couple who are 37 and 26 now say they started dating when they were 30 and 19. While they don't mean to say they are pedophiles, the video leaves you uneasy about the implications. It raises a question about content awareness and when one needs to stop sharing information in the name of trends.

Sexism wins along with Team USA

In the Winter Olympics, both the men's and women's Ice Hockey teams achieved historic wins. But what should have been celebrations turned into a political storm when a conversation with President Donald Trump was leaked from the men's locker room. The controversy surrounds his comment, “We’re going to have to bring the women’s team, you do know that. I do believe I probably would be impeached." The comments are dismissive and sexist to their core, and the internet was quick to rally around in support of the women's team. The team itself stood up by rejecting the invitation to have their own celebrations.
