From new releases to major platform updates, here’s your quick rundown of everything that was in conversation this week.

Prajakta Koli is set to appear in Netflix’s upcoming comedy-drama series Single Papa. Set to premiere on December 12, the series features Kunal Kemmu in the lead, alongside Manoj Pahwa, Neha Dhupia and Ayesha Raza. Speaking of upcoming projects, Bhuvan Bam shared the news of wrapping the shoot for Nikkhil Advani’s upcoming Prime Video series The Revolutionaries on social media, leaving the fans excited for its release. Supermodel Elsa Hosk leads Inde Wild’s campaign for the new Champi Slick Stick alongside founder Diipa Büller-Khosla. Multiple creators, including Reenu Debnath and Ruhee Dosani, collaborated with British Rapper Central Cee, who is in India as part of Rolling Loud India's Hip-Hop festival. In terms of benefiting and protecting rights, the Delhi High Court recently granted protection to Raj Shamani's personality rights, directing social media platforms to take down certain objectionable posts made against him. The court held that he is entitled to seek an injunction against any third party attempting to exploit his personality for commercial gain without his permission.

Snapchat has rolled out Topic Chats, a new way for users to join public conversations around trending events and themes. The feature groups Snaps on the same subject, making it easier to browse what people are talking about and jump in. A yellow “Join the Chat” button will now appear on relevant Stories and Spotlight videos, giving users instant access to active discussions. On the other hand, X has begun testing a feature that alerts users when an account might be using a VPN. The platform says it’s meant to boost transparency and make suspicious or coordinated activity easier to spot. When triggered, profiles will show a note like “Country or region may not be accurate” inside a new “About this profile” section. However, the move isn’t sitting well with everyone. Many activists, journalists, and users in restrictive countries fear that calling out VPN usage could compromise their privacy and safety, since VPNs are often essential for secure access to the platform.
