From Indian content creators going international to YouTube bringing major changes to its platform, here's what's happening to content creators this week.
Sakshi Sindwani makes history by becoming the first content creator to grace the runway of the Grammys 2026. Sakshi, who was invited by Johnnie Walker, attended an exclusive Sabrina Carpenter–themed event in Los Angeles, stepping out in a striking ensemble by Papa Don’t Preach. Meanwhile, Abhishek Malhan was recently featured in a promotional ad for the upcoming IND vs PAK match for the ICC T20 Men's World Cup. The ad heightens the excitement over the iconic rivalry between the teams. Responding to backlashes on their content, Purav Jha and Amulya Rattan came forward for All Izz Hell and Zero Civic Sense, respectively. Amulya shares her side of the story, apologising for her words, and she also reveals the bullying and verbal abuse she faced. Purav, on the other hand, called out trolling against him through his stories.
To enhance viewing experience and protect ad quality, YouTube is removing many low-quality AI video channels. These moves come when AI slop has oversaturated that platform. Focusing on audience interaction, Google announces 10 genre-based subscription plans for YouTube TV in early next year. On the contrary, Edits has rolled out with an update that makes copy-pasting and track linking far more efficient.
