From creators celebrating big milestones to platforms rolling out updates, here’s what made headlines on this week.

Samay Raina has won the SuperPogChamps title, capping off a strong tournament where he went undefeated in the group stage and later defeated Andrea Botez and Sardoche in the knockouts. The event, hosted by Chess.com, brought together 12 creators from around the world. After securing the win, Raina chose to donate his entire prize money. Meanwhile, Prajakta Koli’s debut novel has made its mark at the 19th Crossword Book Awards. In the Popular Choice section, where readers decide the winners, her coming-of-age story Too Good To Be True won in the fiction category. 

Sarah Sarosh teams up with Plumber BodyLovin’ to bring Impulse Coffee’s first-ever “Whiff & Sip” Crave Rave event to Mumbai. Danny Pandit’s track Zat Pat Pata Pathas exploded online, becoming one of the most used sounds across social platforms. The song has already crossed 40 million Instagram reel views and has picked up more than 2.3 million views on YouTube. Meanwhile, Priya Malik is taking her poetry global, touring from Prague, Australia, and Canada to the UK and Ireland.

Instagram has updated its API with new tools for collaboration and content management. It added endpoints to manage collaboration invites and introduced new Insights metrics, including Reels Skip Rate and repost counts. The platform also updated cross-posted reels views and added an IG Media Deleting API, along with support for Trial Reels. On the other hand, Meta has launched a new support hub on Facebook and Instagram to help users secure accounts and resolve access issues. Available globally on iOS and Android, it offers tools for reporting problems, recovering accounts, and AI-powered guidance for tasks like updating settings or troubleshooting logins.
