Here’s a quick roundup of notable creator updates from social media this week.

Shapewear and innerwear brand Underneat, co-founded by Kusha Kapila and entrepreneur Vimarsh Razdan, has raised $6 million (around ₹54.5 crore) in a Pre-Series A round led by Fireside Ventures, with existing investor Ghazal Alagh also coming on board. The Gurugram-based D2C startup, launched in April 2025, says it has already crossed ₹150 crore in ARR and turned EBITDA positive within eight months, as it now looks to scale operations and expand its presence across India. Vir Das’s directorial debut Happy Patel Khatarnak Jasooshas its trailer out, and it leans into a messy, self-aware take on the spy genre rather than trying to play it straight. Backed by Aamir Khan, the film stars Das as an unlikely spy and also marks Imran Khan’s return to the big screen after more than a decade, with the film set to release in theatres on January 16, 2026.

Dia Gautam has crossed 500K subscribers on YouTube and received the Silver Play Button. Separately, Nikhil Shinde has also reached a major milestone, crossing 1 million subscribers and earning YouTube’s Golden Play Button. Payal Dhare has denied any link to a viral 19-minute video that was falsely being circulated online in her name. Putting an end to the speculation, the Maharashtra Cyber Police have confirmed that the clip is an AI-generated deepfake, stating that it was digitally tampered with and modified. An official analysis conducted using advanced tools concluded that the video is inauthentic, clearing Payal Dhare of any involvement.
