Sony is rolling back its online video game "Cyberpunk 2077" after multiple complaints from users. Here's how netizens are reacting to it.
Sony Interactive Entertainment is pulling back its highly popular video game Cyberpunk 2077 from Playstation stores after receiving excessive complaints about bugs, compatibility issues, glitches, and health risks. The company has also offered a full refund to those who purchased the game.
The dystopian themed Cyberpunk, developed by CD Projekt Red, was one of the most highly awaited games of the year, especially after a delay to Coronavirus. Users are now disappointed with the glitchy graphics, bugs, and even health risks. One gamer had earlier complained of getting an epileptic seizure due to the game.
Ever since the company announced that they are rolling back the video game, gamers on Twitter gave mixed reactions. While some showered love on it, others are predicting that Cyberpunk will be back soon.
Here are some of the reactions bidding farewell to Cyberpunk 2077. Have a look:
I've never seen a "recall" of a game at the scale of Cyberpunk 2077 before. Every Sony copy eligible for a refund. Store delisting.

Unprecedented.
I don't understand why 2077's players are upset.

*AAA entertainment software goes live
*Software noticably buggy
*Refunds issued to appease masses
*Megacorps turn profit anyway
*Both sides feel smug superiority
Seems like an authentic #cyberpunk narrative to me. pic.twitter.com/gihbPsWgna
You have to wonder: How many programmers/testers/other devs at CD Projekt Red tried to raise the alarm that the game was just not ready, only to be rebuffed or ignored by the studio's management?

I have seen a lot of games launch messed up, but everything happening with #Cyberpunk2077 & @CDPROJEKTRED is absolutely unprecedented.

I really feel bad for @CDPROJEKTRED and @CyberpunkGame. Despite all of the bad optics and terrible performance, underneathe all that it's a pretty solid open world action/adventure game with linear but decent RPGs elements.

Kind of sad for all the people that worked on #Cyberpunk2077

Dear @CDPROJEKTRED, @CyberpunkGame has been a kind of disaster for many, but amidst all the anger and backlash, I congratulate you for a beautiful and unique experience you provided us in the NIGHT CITY. Although it could have been much better with increased frame rates :( :)

#Cyberpunk2077 wouldn’t be having anywhere near as many complaints if people could actually get the consoles they want instead of having to fight with the hype beast resellers who are ruining consoles just like they ruined sneakers and streetwear @Xbox @PlayStation !!!!!

I’m not gonna refund #Cyberpunk2077

The game will be fixed in the future. This is the same thing that happened with the Witcher. Surprised people didn’t act this way with No Man’s Sky (one of my favorite games) or Fallout 76 pic.twitter.com/BVR5IamarI
I guess we'll just have to look forward to Cyberpunk 2077: A City Reborn.

We're reaching the "#Cyberpunk2077 is actually a terrible game" phase which is way wrong? The game has issues. I've noted many of them the past few days. BUT mah god the writing, characters, music, open world & combat is fucking awesome!

How are you feeling about Cyberpunk's farewell?
