December 10th is observed as Human Rights Day every year across the world. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in 1948. The UDHR is a document recognises the basic rights which everyone is entitled to as a human being. These rights can be and should be enjoyed by everyone regardless of race, colour, religion, sex, language, political or other opinions, national or social origin, property, birth or other status. UDHR is the most translated document in the world and is available in more than 500 languages. People celebrated Human Rights Day 2020 on social media.
In the current scenario, it is very important that every individual should be able to identify these rights and help their fellow beings in having a better life in society. With rising inequalities, unstable employment and rising poverty during the times of COVID, people are stressing over the importance of the day through social media.
