December 10th is observed as Human Rights Day every year across the world. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in 1948. The UDHR is a document recognises the basic rights which everyone is entitled to as a human being. These rights can be and should be enjoyed by everyone regardless of race, colour, religion, sex, language, political or other opinions, national or social origin, property, birth or other status.
