Hush Hush which marks Juhi Chawla’s debut in the OTT world, released on Prime Video on September 22. Let’s find out Janta's opinions on it!
Prime Video's Hush Hush is a thriller drama helmed by Tanuja Chandra, Kopal Naithani, and Ashish Pandey. The story is written by Shikha Sharma and the dialogues are by National award-winning writer Juhi Chaturvedi. It’s centered around Ishi Sengupta (Juhi Chawla) who commits suicide, leaving a plethora of questions behind for bestfriends who are trying to figure out why she took such a step.
In her gang of friends she has Zaira (Shahana Goswami), a self-made fashion designer. Saiba (Soha Ali Khan) an ex-journalist whose life now revolves around her husband and her daughter. And last but not least in the girl gang, Dolly (Kritika Kamra) who seems to be in a suffocating relationship with her husband. A day before Ishi’s death, one of the three said friends kill a man who was probably assaulting Ishi, and that makes them suspects in a murder. But Geeta (Karishma Tanna) is a cop determined to solve this puzzle and uncover every single secret the four ladies are hiding.

Mediocre & predictable stuff with a really weird climax . I should have skipped this one .

Pehela Nasha girl Ayesh Jhulka was the only good bit . #HushHush
#HushHush is a crime thriller with a woman heavy cast directed & written by women. The acting holds it up when the slow pace pulls it down. The to & fro narration doesn’t really help. Average watch.

Hush Hush and Big Little Lies are nothing alike. Both are completely original stories. The only thing common about them is that both happen to be women-centric shows. #HushHush #AmazonPrime

Done with 1st epi and almost half of 2nd episode of #HushHush, story is intriguing and I'm totally hooked.

I must Dolly Kalal aka #KritikaKamra is stealing the limelight here 😭
Best character so far ✋
Not being biased, you're such a fine actress @Kritika_Kamra 😭🙌
Bollywood is still surviving because of web series like #HUSHHUSH #hushhush

Saiba knew what happened, still she claimed the car🙄
I was so frustrated, same as Dolly.
I'm in complete awe of @Kritika_Kamra's performance in these 3 episodes. Outshining everyone.
Let's see what next 4 episodes bring.#KritikaKamra #HushHushOnPrime pic.twitter.com/Me636Y20kn
Completed #HushHush, and I absolutely loved the series.
— shipra (@shiptothesky) September 24, 2022
My only complaint is it felt like a set-up of the actual story. Everyone did so well, especially Dalals. @Kritika_Kamra
Can't wait for season 2 and for Javed Jaffrey, his look is so cool.

Where is the rest? You can’t possibly leave it at this juncture. Guys fair warning, you are better off waiting for season 2 or you will feel like the world is not right for a few days.
#HushHush on @PrimeVideo is half baked. Series stars well with all elements of a thriller but the story stretched after this without any reason. I think makers made this season keeping in mind the sequel due to which this part seems incomplete even after a logical ending.

Just watched the first episode of #HushHush and it looks promising. Loved to see my fave #JuhiChawla after a long time. Have always admired her beauty, grace, great comic timing and brilliant acting skills, I could just go on an on. She's a complete package!

#HushHush is a great watch but it does test your patience at times. @iam_juhi Juhi Chawla is terrific. Her scenes with Ayesha stand out. Great ensemble cast. Hoping to see more Ishi's story in #season2 #HushHushOnPrime @PrimeVideoIN

#KarishmaTanna, as Geeta, is probably the best performer after Soha Ali Khan in #HushHush. She shows her intense, fierce, yet controlled side. Honestly, I haven’t been exposed to Tanna’s recent performances; still, I feel this is the first...

The episode reminded me of big little lies. But then it threw a wrench with its last scene.
Tanuja Chandra directed 'Hush Hush' in Amazon Prime is a decent thriller but doesn't end in right note. There is something incomplete at climax. Juhi Chawla is wasted. Ayesha Jhulka & Krithika Kamara are superlative. #AmazonPrime #HushHush

Done watching #HushHush.. kept me glued till the end. Season ended with cliffhanger 😬 Not the best thriller, but still a good watch! #KritikaKamra #KarishmaTanna & #SahanaGoswami's performance was too good! Also, the actress who portrayed character of Mehr was really impressive.

Unhappy with HUSH HUSH series. Weak cast, average plots, very disappointing climax. Left most of the things unanswered and so many cliffhangers for season 2. Disappointed by juhi chawla's character and screen timing. Series with a good topic and bad execution. #HushHush pic.twitter.com/w6tHF3IKGO

Found Hush Hush very disappointing. Women making women content has to actually be powerful and convincing. This was limp #HushHush

#HushHush on prime is the shittiest piece of writing I've ever watched on ott. Wasted so many brilliant actresses.
— girmit (@mekruthika) September 23, 2022
Hush Hush is definitely above average but the writing could’ve been crisper. It sags in between but recovers towards last episode. And now that there’s a definite season 2, let’s wait for the same. #HushHush @PrimeVideo
