An open letter to Irrfan Khan, the legend Indian Film Industry will always cherish

Irrfan Khan, one of the Bollywood's beloved and talented contributors in the World of Cinema, actor passed away today leaving the nation to mourn on the untimely demise of the legend.

Irrfan Khan had worked in nearly 80 films, including Angrezi Medium that got released in March 2020 being the last one, he is best known for his work in Haider, Piku, Hindi Medium and several others. Khan had also received international acclaim for his work in Slumdog Millionaire, Life of Pi, Jurassic Park to name a few.

Though the words might not do justice to his magnificent career and its impact on the industry, here is an open letter on behalf of all the fans, who will always remember him with the work he did all these years.

Dear Irrfan,

I know whatever I write here will never reach you, till the unfortunate news got verified I was praying and hoping this to be a rumor. Alas, today, Bollywood lost one of the finest actors we had.

My heart goes out for your family, who has supported you and seen you battle with ailments in the hope of seeing you healthy and happy. A lot of us have tears in our eyes, and sadness in our hearts for losing a gem of a person like you.

From Salaam Bombay to Angrezi Medium, you not only aced each character but made us a fan of your incredible talent and simplicity.

Whether it was a straightforward and socially inept Monty, or a funny taxi business owner, an urban dad trying his best to get his daughter admitted in an English Medium school or a single father trying to fulfill his daughter's dream to study in London. There was nothing that didn’t make us applaud you. Never thought a Lunchbox can also make us believe in love, or a dacoit will be so dear to us.

Thank you for giving us not one but many moments in your career to cherish and remember you always. Thank you for always charming us!

We wish that you attain peace and happiness in the heavenly abode, and may God impart strength to your family and loved ones in this hour of grief.
