Starring Penn Badgley as Joe Goldberg, You Season 5 has arrived and here’s what the audience has to say about the thrilling conclusion to Joe's dark journey.
In season 5, Penn Badgley reprises his role as the central character, Joe Goldberg, whose complex journey of self-reflection and obsession takes a dark and intense turn. Alongside him, Charlotte Ritchie plays Kate, Joe’s love interest, who continues challenging his motives and actions while navigating the consequences of their toxic relationship. Tati Gabrielle returns as Marienne, Joe’s former obsession, whose storyline adds further tension and complexity to the narrative. The season also introduces a new set of characters, including Lukas Gage as Adam, a key figure in Joe’s path toward his ultimate confrontation. As the plot unfolds, the show dives deep into Joe’s internal struggle between redemption and his destructive nature, bringing all these characters together in a final, explosive showdown that explores themes of identity, obsession, and morality.
Audiences appreciated that this final season went beyond the typical thrills of a serial killer story, delving into deeper societal issues and offering a powerful commentary on toxic behavior and the complexities of human nature. The intense finale had fans on the edge of their seats, delivering both suspense and satisfaction. While it's bittersweet to say goodbye to Joe Goldberg, the conclusion left viewers reflecting on the series' broader themes, with many feeling that it wrapped up the story in a fitting, thought-provoking way.

I feel like Joe Goldberg could never find love; his story could only end in two ways—death or jail. He was selfish,
and consistently mistreated and took his loved ones for granted.#Youseason5
You season 5 is as wacky as ever with surprise resurrections & predictable twists, but it’s such bingeable entertainment. Anna Camp stole the show for me though and that unhinged Taylor Swift needle drop. My review for @TechAdvisorHQ https://t.co/vfbGgH1ktG.

You season 5 was great. A good return to form to the quality of the earlier seasons. The new cast of characters was the most developed to date. Penn Badgley and Anna Camp had standout performances. Managed to stick the landing with the ending. Its probably my favourite season

Season 5 is so different. That dude Joe went to therapy and listened to every word his therapist said, he’s journalizing his bad and negative feelings instead of killing people. So mature, so demure, VERY mindful#YouNetflix #YOUNetflixS5 #YOu

Just finished season 5 of You, and I have no words, what a massive improvement over season 4. My heart was racing throughout the entire finale and while I'm sad to see the show end, I'm happy with how they ended it.
