Late Sangeeth Sivan’s horror-comedy Kapkapiii, starring Tusshar Kapoor and Shreyas Talpade released on Friday and opened to an underwhelming response at the box office. A remake of Malayalam film Romancham, it explores the story of Manu (Talpade) and his friends who communicate with a spirit through a home-made Ouija board and how their pass time activity leaves them in chaotic and horrific situations.
Despite Kapkapiii’s lackluster performance at the box office, the people who have watched the film are loving it and showering it with praises on social media. Most of the viewers are appreciating Talpade and Kapoor's performances, witty one-liners and setting of film, while there are some who are comparing it Golmaal and Apna Sapna Money Money, others are in awe of the talented supporting cast and the raw and unpologetic nature of the film.
