Before its theatrical release, Mission: Impossible -The Final Reckoning premiered at the 78th Cannes Film Festival where it received a 5-minute-long standing ovation leaving Tom Cruise emotional. This got the Janta all the more invested and excited to watch the film.
Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning hit the big screens in India on Saturday and fans have been flocking to the theatres to watch their favourite Ethan Hunt save the world one last time. Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning has the Janta in two minds. While many viewers are appreciating Cruise's performance, action sequences and the last 40 minutes of the film, there are some who feel that this film is overstuffed and over-explained at times. Some found the editing messed up and advised others to go for the film with limited expectations while a big section of the audience is bowled over by the stunts in the movie. Despite mixed reviews, die-hard fans of this Tom Cruise franchise seem to still be proud of the film and the actor and are recommending fellow admirers to watch it on the big screen.
Here's proof!
how it feels to ignore all the negative/mixed reviews of The Final Reckoning and still go in with the highest expectations because I love Tom Cruise and Mission: Impossible pic.twitter.com/Emin7Mzggm

MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE-THE FINAL RECKONING is too long & overstuffed to the point it's boring at times. They drip fed the audience especially at the start. Lazy storytelling & questionable editing in places. The action of the final act is spectacular but it was too late pic.twitter.com/YNkTF5qMVS

Great action and performances. The way some scenes are shot are awesome.
Story is overexplained in the first half to an annoying degree at times. It assumes this is your first MI film.
Second half is great.
Recommended, go with tame expectations. https://t.co/MH2uj7Dx5R pic.twitter.com/7QeROBYcm4

Ethan Hunt was insane, and Tom Cruise? Just as crazy with those stunts. Really hope this isn’t the last we see of him and his team.#MissionImpossibleTheFinalReckoning #IMAX #MissionImpossible pic.twitter.com/hy2L1PnT8j

The movie has some of the greatest stunts in film history. At 62, Tom Cruise knows no fear. Most iconic movie star we will ever see. McQ and Cruise make such a formidable director-actor team pic.twitter.com/CN2XzTzoXL
