Before its theatrical release, Mission: Impossible -The Final Reckoning premiered at the 78th Cannes Film Festival where it received a 5-minute-long standing ovation leaving Tom Cruise emotional. This got the Janta all the more invested and excited to watch the film. 

Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning hit the big screens in India on Saturday and fans have been flocking to the theatres to watch their favourite Ethan Hunt save the world one last time.  After decades of thrilling action, heart pounding chase sequences and death defying stunts Tom Cruise and director Christopher McQuarrie have returned to mesmerise the audience with the eighth installment of the film which also marks the end of the legendary spy-thriller franchise.

Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning has the Janta in two minds. While many viewers are appreciating Cruise's performance, action sequences and the last 40 minutes of the film, there are some who feel that this film is overstuffed and over-explained at times. Some found the editing messed up and advised others to go for the film with limited expectations while a big section of the audience is bowled over by the stunts in the movie. Despite mixed reviews, die-hard fans of this Tom Cruise franchise seem to still be proud of the film and the actor and are recommending fellow admirers to watch it on the big screen.
