Kar Dikhaya is the new music track launched by The Dharavi Dream Project. It recounts the journey of how the largest slum in Asia courageously flattened the Covid-19 curve
Kar Dikhaya pays tribute to the people of Dharavi, BMC and Maharashtra Government in winning their battle against the virus. The song has urged the countrymen to come together (not literally) to fight the global pandemic. The masked artists narrate their journeys and how they curbed the virus by simply adhering to government norms, wearing masks, practicing hygiene and maintaining social distancing. They ensure the listeners that there are hope and light at the end of the tunnel. Such inspiration is what we really need right now!
From curating the idea to filming the whole song, it was managed by the artists thoroughly which will motivate more people and cities to follow the inspiring Dharavi Model!

The initiative The Dharavi Dream Project started in 2014 by Samir Bangara, Devraj Sanyal, A.R. Rahman, Shekhar Kapur and Dolly Rateshwar to create and push the Hip-Hop talent into the bigger world and to nurture the young artists. By providing them with a conducive environment and platform, the group has yielded amazing results.
Dharavi became a hotspot in the month of April with cases surging in the densely populated area. Kar Dikhaya features artists MC Josh, Siva G, Amogh Baini and MC Siddhu narrating how the largest slum broke free from the tight grip of the virus.
The song is being praised by people across the country:
