"Be a proton, stay positive," spreading positivity and engaging her followers with real and simple content, Reeneta Dutta is inspiring us to love ourselves.

Reeneta Dutta is an Indian blogger and travel enthusiast who believes in creating simple and real content. She is a body positivity influencer encouraging people and fashion to embrace each other and to not think of oneself as any lesser. Calling her feed a virtual diary, Reeneta who loves sharing stories focuses on creating content that engages her followers while entertaining them. We got into a chat with her and here is all she had to share about her life as a blogger and her inspiration behind creating real content.

Here's all Reeneta Dutta had to share with us:

1) What made you start creating content? And when did you begin?

"It has been 7 years since I have been creating content. I have always liked telling stories and experiences, having lived a rather interesting life (living one in the present too). That was the trigger - sharing stories and experiences, much before storytelling became a fad."

2) What makes your content stand out?

"It has a very personal PoV, and that is what sets my content apart. Also, the fact that it is relatable on an everyday basis - be it fashion, travel or life in general."

How do you choose what to promote on your feed and what not to?

"I have always been very clear of what I choose to share - my feed is a virtual diary of my life. I do not appreciate sharing controversies unless deemed necessary. Believing in peace and harmony and following Buddhism made me realise it’s important to control and train the world within you than the world outside."

One instance that made it all worthwhile?

"There have been many, but it is the appreciation of my followers and how well they relate to my content. My content isn’t about good looking pictures only, I do not dress up for Instagram photos and that is very relatable in real life because not everyone loves makeup and has a flawless body or skin or hair."

What does a regular day look like?

"On the social front, it’s going through the content of my fellow bloggers. I do not believe in hate or jealousy or competition and I like to be kept aware of the happenings around me, on a global as well as personal level. As for real life, it mostly works and living for the moment."

How do you make moolahs?

"I also provide freelance content services, and that is my bread and butter. Blogging on my site is a passion and I do not want to make it a money-making machine. I only take up sponsored posts that resonate with myself."

Where do you get ideas for your videos from?

"Everyday life - the many interactions, life’s small lessons, the name-calling and bullying and shaming."

Weirdest brief ever received?

"We want to reach out to plus size ladies without coming out as a brand that caters to plus size clothing."

If not an influencer, what would you be?

"A writer."

Message/tips for upcoming bloggers
