Mumbai’s own and one of the most popular Mandals Lalbaugcha Raja Ganeshotsav Mandal, will not hold Ganesh Utsav this year. The Mandal will hold a plasma and blood donation camp instead.

Lalbaugcha Raja Ganeshotsav Mandal is one of the most popular Ganesh idols in Mumbai where people visit in large numbers to offer their prayers. This year, however, the famous Mandal has decided to keep away from celebrating Ganesh Utsav to comply with the ongoing COVID pandemic. While many have been cancelled, there are several mandals that have decided on having a low-key celebration this year.

The Mandal will hold ‘Aarogya Utsav’ instead of Ganesh Utsav and set up blood and plasma camps. The plasma donation camp will be held along with the BMC and the Mandal will also be making a donation of 25 Lakh to the Cheif Minister’s Fund. Various medical check-ups and Blood donation camps have already been done by the Mandal.
